Blue Jays Collect 9-7 Win Over Giants
The Bluefield Blue Jays topped the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants by a score of 9-7 in 11 innings. Leading the way was third baseman Israel Maturino. Maturino went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays. Bluefield reliever Jon Engle got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Eli Conniff was tagged with the loss. The Blue Jays improved their record to 31-43 by beating San Francisco (Rk+).

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Roland O'Neil came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing San Francisco (Rk+) pitcher Eli Conniff, he hit a 2-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bluefield on top, 8-7.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Maturino.
