The Princeton Rays downed the Bristol Pirates, 5-0, at Devault Memorial Stadium. Princeton pitcher Nalber Beaver definitely brought his A-game. Despite the win, the Rays have a lousy 26-50 record.

In the top of the eighth, Princeton catcher Forrest Clayton had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Clayton stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Princeton. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Beaver.
