Braves Spill Astros, 5-0
|
The Danville Braves rode a solid performance from 22-year-old starting pitcher Pat Ream to a win, beating the Greeneville Astros, 5-0, at Pioneer Park. The Braves improved to 34-43.
The Braves got a big at-bat from shortstop David Sendas. For the game, Sendas went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Danville a 2-0 lead.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Josh Lane.
