Cincinnati got a terrific game from right fielder Tom Hedges. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Las Vegas, 4-3, in 10 innings. Hedges was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bob Nunez notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. The Hustle now have a mark of 28-30.

Michinao Morioka came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

In comments to the Las Vegas Gazette, Morioka admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
