Guardians Beat Mariners, 8-2, at Progressive Field
|
Cleveland pitcher Morgan Dunphy did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Mariners, 8-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Guardians now own a record of 21-37.
With Cleveland leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Brian Ellis hit a 2-run single off Seattle pitcher Chris Ashworth. It put the Guardians ahead 4-1.
"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Huckleberry O'Day.
