The Kansas City Royals had to overcome a fine effort from St. Louis pitcher Chris Fama to win, 4-3, at Kauffman Stadium. Fama went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Royals go to 24-34, putting them third in the American League Central Division.

Mike Grover was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Royals center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Grover said.
