Milwaukee Beats Washington, 5-2
|
Milwaukee third baseman Johnny Curet had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Washington Nationals, 5-2. Mike Williams came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-1. Milwaukee is now 30-29.
Curet contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Milwaukee in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Curet took a fastball from Kyle Barr and stroked the home run to left-center. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Brewers to leap in front, 4-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Curet told the Milwaukee Herald.
