Tigers Earn Late Win
|
The Detroit Tigers gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
Detroit pitcher Jen-kan Tow had a large part in his team beating the Minnesota Twins, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Today's win puts Detroit at 28-31, while Minnesota falls to 34-26.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when third baseman Jesse Grow, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in doubles with 21, hit a triple. The Tigers went on to win.
"That's what this team is about," said Tow, "picking each other up."
