Dodgers Tagged with 6-0 Loss
|
The San Diego Padres defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-0, in part because of right fielder Brian Patrick. Patrick was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times for the Padres. The setback makes Los Angeles 28-31.
San Diego used a well-timed hit by Randy Wilson to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Padres ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This game will humble you real quick," said Los Angeles manager Giovanni Ciotti.
