The Oakland Athletics picked up a win at O.co Coliseum, taking down the Los Angeles Angels, 4-2. Starting pitcher Dylan Harrison was a big reason why. Matt Ortiz earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 4-3. Nick Rodriquez closed out the game, earning his 14th save.

Nick Thompson hit a 2-run home run off Jaden Moore in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Athletics ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Thompson had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Thompson said.

The Athletics go to 33-29, putting them third in the American League West Division.
