The Milwaukee Brewers topped the New York Mets, 5-4, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Johnny Curet. On the day, Curet went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Brewers. Ryan Silton earned the save, his 13th, for the Brewers. The 4th-place Brewers now have a win-loss record of 32-31.

Curet had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the seventh, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Brewers went on to win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said New York manager Rodney Smith.
