On Road, New York Drops Cleveland, 6-0
The New York Mets got a marvelous performance from pitcher Sean McNees. The right-hander kept the Cleveland offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-0 New York victory at Progressive Field. McNees, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The Mets improved their record to 33-28 with the win over Cleveland.

The tension was thick in the bottom of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Cleveland trailing 3-0, Sean McNees had to get a big out. On a 1-0 sinker, he retired Joe Boyer, who grounded out.
