Behind a solid performance from third baseman Scott Pabian, the Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 7-4. Pabian went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rangers. The winner in relief was Josh Payne. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Texas is now 23-40, Los Angeles 33-31.

Pabian had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 sinker from Joey Renner, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Rangers a 5-4 lead. It was the 14th double of the year for Pabian.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Pabian said.
