Tampa Bay Loses Again, 5-4
The Seattle Mariners managed to get by the Tampa Bay Rays, 5-4, at Jon Nunez Sr. Stadium. Seattle pitcher John McWilliams set himself apart with his performance. The win belongs to Mike Hartnagel in relief. His record improves to 1-5. Jason Long took the loss for Tampa Bay. Danny Enriquez, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

Seattle used a clutch hit from Omar Perez to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Perez told the Seattle Chronicle.
