The Boston Red Sox used an offensive barrage to beat the Los Angeles Angels, 10-2, at Fenway Park. Steve Slaughter, who is on pace for 87 RBI this season, led the way, going 3-for-4 for Boston. The second-place Red Sox have won 8 in a row.

The Red Sox got a big hit from third baseman Cameron Goudy. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Josh Carnevale in the bottom of the seventh, Goudy pounded a grand slam home run to right-center. His 14th home run of the season put the Red Sox ahead, 9-2.

"Do what you're good at," said Boston manager Michael Meagher. "That's all I ask of the team."
