Rangers K-O Blue Jays, 6-0
|
Texas Rangers starter Danny Bagwell was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-0. In 6.2 innings, Bagwell surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The win puts the Rangers at 32-33, while the Blue Jays drop to 40-25.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brian Ruble. For the game, Ruble was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Texas a 2-0 lead.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Ruble told the Texas Daily News.
