Blaze Hammered by Rosas, Drop Game 3 to Rawhide
The Visalia Rawhide have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Bakersfield Blaze, winning 5-4 at Recreation Park today. Rawhide catcher Ramiro Rosas went 1 for 1 with a home run, a walk, and was hit 2 times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Rawhide to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Ivan Vargas dealt the Blaze a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Visalia leading 3-2, Vargas hit a 1-2 cutter for a run-scoring single.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Rawhide manager Steve Want said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Recreation Park in Visalia.
