Reds Take Tight Tangle
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-4, at PNC Park. Gary Arbogast went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The fan favorite was a menace to Pittsburgh all day. Cincinnati reliever Dave Buskey was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Scott Connell. Dave Driskill recorded his 1st save for Cincinnati.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Arbogast delivered big-time for Cincinnati, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Scott Connell. The game-changing hit put the Reds on top, 5-4.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Arbogast told the Cincinnati Herald. "And padding the Cincinnati win column."

The Reds, at 39-26, sit in third place in the National League Central Division.
