Tomlinson Blasts Blue Wahoos, Shuckers Take Game 2, 7-3
|
Biloxi second baseman C.J. Tomlinson produced all the offense the Shuckers would need in the club's 7-3 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
Tomlinson was 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, while Biloxi moved into a tie in the Round 1. The Shuckers and Blue Wahoos are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-5 series.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Tomlinson hit a grand slam home run off Jeff Jordan. It propelled the Shuckers into the lead, 4-0.
"I felt good about my swing," said Tomlinson.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at MGM Park in Biloxi.
