David Elson helped his team muscle past the Las Vegas Hustle, 5-3. In the game, the Los Angeles second baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Los Angeles pitcher Fred Szilagyi got the win, upping his record to 3-8. Jayson Andrews got the loss. Tony Sanchez closed it out for Los Angeles, earning his 11th save.

Elson made an early impact for Los Angeles when he stroked his 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Angels on top, 5-2.

"Nice win for us," said Elson. "Now we'll go after the next one."

By defeating Las Vegas, the 4th-place Angels improved to 31-35.
