Hillcats Dominate, Sweep Round 1
It's a sweet sweep for the Lynchburg Hillcats and they have won the Round 1. The Wilmington Blue Rocks were not able to keep pace with the Hillcats and dropped the series in short order, losing 3-0 in the deciding game.

"This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Wilmington manager Jerry Alzamora.

It's now on to the Round 2 for Lynchburg after their 3-0 series win.

Leading the way for the winners was center fielder Justin Stevenson, who was named MVP. For the series, Stevenson hit .417 with a .533 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Lynchburg Hillcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Winston-Salem Dash - Myrtle Beach Pelicans series. Myrtle Beach leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
