The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Mets, 2-1, at Fenway Park. Starting pitcher Eric Huffman was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Boston pitcher Blake Jenkins got the win. He's now 3-0. Chris Tresidder was tagged with the loss. The Red Sox move to 33-34 with the win, while the Mets drop to 31-35.

Tyler Atkinson was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Red Sox designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Atkinson said.
