The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals, 4-1, at Citizens Bank Park. Carlos Molina, who is on pace to hit 31 home runs this season, starred for Philadelphia. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dave Simmons earned the save for Philadelphia, his 14th. The Phillies raised their record to 27-40.
