In a crucial game, the Williamsport Crosscutters put on their best show, beating the Mahoning Valley Scrappers by a final score of 1-0 today. Kevin Main threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. Williamsport and Mahoning Valley are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-5 affair.

The Crosscutters liked what they saw from Main. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Scrappers to no runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, and striking out 8.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Crosscutters manager Will Walsh.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 16th , 2098 at Bowman Field in Williamsport.
