Braves Advance to Round 2
The Mississippi Braves are one step closer to winning a Round 2, and the season came to a close for the Montgomery Biscuits.

Mississippi won the Round 1 3-1, with a 9-3 victory in the deciding game at Trustmark Park today.

Mississippi second baseman John Hamlin was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .333 with a .316 on-base percentage. He had 0 homers, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.

"I just hope I can keep it up in the Round 2," he said.

The Mississippi Braves will play against the Tennessee Smokies in the next round. Tennessee won their series against the Biloxi Shuckers 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
