Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Rohmer and Brooklyn
|
Beau Rohmer and the Brooklyn Cyclones opened the Round 1 in brilliant fashion today, shutting out the visiting Vermont Lake Monsters at MCU Park 2-0 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Rohmer, the Cyclones right-hander, threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball.
In his 91-pitch effort, Rohmer allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 4.
"The chili dogs will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Rohmer.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at MCU Park in Brooklyn.
