Motley Blasts Generals, Smokies Take Game 3, 7-6
The Tennessee Smokies moved to within one game of the Round 2, downing the visiting Jackson Generals at Smokies Park by a score of 7-6. Smokies shortstop Jalen Motley did some major damage. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit 2 times, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win gives the Smokies a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fifth when Motley hit a 3-run home run. It thrust the Smokies into the lead, 3-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Motley. "You've got to get results."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Smokies Park in Knoxville.
