Valencia, RoughRiders Sink Missions Again in Game 2
The Frisco RoughRiders moved to within one game of the Round 2, downing the visiting San Antonio Missions at Dr. Pepper Ballpark by a score of 5-2. RoughRiders left fielder Josh Valencia did some major damage. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win gives the RoughRiders a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Valencia hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first to help the Frisco cause. The home run, which was hit off Glen Hagerman, allowed Frisco to take a 2-0 lead.

"Nice win for us," said Valencia. "Now we'll go after the next one."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio.
