Mike Yates Records 300th Save, Tames Cleveland 7-5
The Cincinnati Reds really celebrated their 7-5 victory over the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. Not only did the Reds win the game, but reliever Mike Yates recorded his 300th-career save. The bullpen ace stopped Cleveland on no runs and no hits in his 2 innings of work to seal the triumph.

"It's a good milestone -- it doesn't happen very often," Yates said. "I was out there when my teammates needed me 300 times, and I'm real proud of that."

Yates has marked up 300 saves during his career.
