When the games really matter, the Kannapolis Intimidators put on their best show, beating the Augusta GreenJackets by a final score of 1-0 today. Justin Johnson went 3-4 with 3 singles. Kannapolis now leads Augusta 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Kannapolis used a timely hit from Aaron Morgan to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Intimidators ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We haven't stopped playing," Augusta manager Aaron Bailey said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta.
