Mississippi Win to Pull Even With Pensacola
|
The Mississippi Braves got a complete game effort from starter Rafael de Jesus to move into a 2-2 tie with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in the best-of-7 Round 2.
The Mississippi right-hander went the distance at Five County Stadium, cooling off the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and striking out 4 to help Mississippi take the 1-0 win that knotted the series.
de Jesus confounded Pensacola hitters. Over 9 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits.
"I'll be honest," said de Jesus. "I was running on fumes at the end."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Five County Stadium in Pensacola.
