Braves Even With Blue Wahoos After Walk-Off Win
The Mississippi Braves and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation at Trustmark Park, the Braves beat the Blue Wahoos, 7-6, on a walk-off in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Mississippi second baseman Izzy Alvarado was 3-4 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Mississippi catcher Jon Garza, facing Aaron Heddings, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Braves the 7-6 win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Garza. "And not try to do too much."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Trustmark Park in Pearl.
