Pence, Guardians Beat Tigers, 1-0
|
The Cleveland Guardians got great pitching from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Greg Pence, allowing them to bump off the Detroit Tigers, 1-0. Pablo Iglesias finished the game for Cleveland and earned his 9th save. With the win, the Guardians have a record of 26-40.
Cleveland starter Greg Pence was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Pence.
