Winston-Salem Breaks Through for First Win in Round 2; Now Trails 2-1
Behind a bravura effort from starter Edwin Rivas, the Winston-Salem Dash topped the Lynchburg Hillcats by the score of 4-0 today and got their first win in the 2098 Round 2. Rivas threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball for the Dash. The win narrows Winston-Salem's deficit to 2-1.

Rivas delivered a quality start for Winston-Salem. The 6' 0" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 8.1 innings of work.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Rivas said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
