Helena Tops Ogden Again, 4-3
|
Despite a great performance by Ogden starter David Medina, the Helena Brewers defeated the Raptors by the score of 4-3 at Lindquist Field today. Medina threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, but he couldn't prevent the Brewers from moving one game closer to the Round 3. Helena now leads the Round 2 2-0.
Helena used the timely hitting of Corey Sullivan to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brewers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Sullivan called the win "a collective effort."
The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 21st , 2098 at Kindrick Legion Field in Helena.
