Fresno got a terrific game from catcher Mike Flores. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Reno, 10-7. Flores was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The second-place Grizzlies have lost 6 straight games.

Reno used a timely hit from Brad Bauer to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aces ahead, 10-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Afterward, Fresno manager Mike Gibson said: "We've hit a rough patch."
