Voyagers Even With Phillies After Home Win
|
In a crucial game, the Great Falls Voyagers put on their best show, beating the Philadelphia (Rk+) Phillies by a final score of 9-0 today. Henry Daniels was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Great Falls and Philadelphia (Rk+) are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.
Harold Liddell had a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the Great Falls third baseman hit a 2-run triple. It made the score 2-0, and led to the win.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Great Falls manager Jean-Francois Garon told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 21st , 2098 at Ballpark of Seymour in Seymour.
