Road Win Lifts Spokane to 1-0 Lead in R2
The Spokane Indians faced a tough opponent in Hillsboro Hops first baseman Bobby Bye, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Round 2, which they now lead 1-0. The Indians won 6-5 at Ron Tonklin Field, despite the efforts of Bye, who went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice.

Spokane used the clutch hitting of Danny Luna to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Indians ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Luna called the triumph "a good team win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ron Tonklin Field in Hillsboro.
