Round 3 Game 1 Victory for Amaya and Great Falls
The Great Falls Voyagers started the Round 3 in style today, downing the visiting Helena Brewers at Centene Stadium by a score of 9-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Voyagers right-hander Gerardo Amaya threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball.

The Voyagers liked what they saw from Amaya. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Brewers to no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, and striking out 5.

"I had everything working," said Amaya.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Centene Stadium in Great Falls.
