66ers Even With Giants After Home Win
The Inland Empire 66ers knotted up the Round 2 at San Manuel Stadium, thanks in large part to designated hitter Brad Bartley. Bartley threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball as he overpowered the San Jose Giants, enabling Inland Empire to grab the 3-1 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

With scoring opportunities rare, the 66ers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Enrique Mora hit a run-scoring double. The double came off Rod Strader and made the score 2-1, 66ers. Mora went 1-3 with a double.

"Makes our job easier," said Bartley, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino.
