The Princeton Rays got a strong performance from pitcher Manny Flemate, who stymied the visiting San Francisco (Rk+) Giants en route to a win, 5-3, in Game 2 of the Round 1. The Giants could never get a bead on the right-handed Flemate, who threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The Rays now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-5 series.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Rays catcher Jason Mullane hit a cutter from Jordan Ramos for a 2-run home run. Just like that, Princeton was up, 4-3.

"I like the roll we're on," said Princeton manager Rusty Brady.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 20th , 2111 at Ballpark of Anchorage in Anchorage.
