Astros Take Tight Tangle
The Houston Astros picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, downing the Texas Rangers, 5-4. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Humberto Valenzuela, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ethan Gordon, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. Jeff Hank earned save number 22 this season.

Houston took a 5-4 lead on Julian Rodriquez's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Rodriquez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Texas pitcher Keith Strickland visibly frustrated.

"Humberto -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Astros manager Zeb Currier. "He was the key to us winning."

The setback makes Texas 35-32.
