White Sox Reel In 6-0 Win
|
Chicago White Sox pitcher Jon Mendez was all business, helping his team muzzle the Cleveland Guardians, 6-0. With the win, Chicago upped its record to 43-24.
Chicago used the hitting of Ben Wetzel to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the White Sox on top, 3-0. For the game, Wetzel had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Wetzel told the Chicago News.
