The Texas Rangers locked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 3-0. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Kelan Purcell. He played a major role in the triumph. Their 32-35 record puts the Rangers 4th in the American League West Division.

The win was credited to Purcell. He raised his season record to 8-2. In 8 innings of work, Purcell gave up no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 6. The Mariners never could get a clutch hit when they needed it.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Purcell.
