Cubs Come Back Late to Clip Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers got a superb performance from designated hitter Nate Todaro. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Chicago. The Cubs won the game, 5-4. Todaro went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Josh Ruhe, 1-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Earning his 16th save of the year was Mario Gomez.

Chicago used the clutch hitting of Jaylin Tillman to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cubs ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Tillman said.

The second-place Cubs lifted their record to 42-26.
