Wild Card Game 1 Victory for Okuhara and Houston
The Houston Astros powered past the visiting Los Angeles Angels, 8-1, in the opener of the Wild Card at Minute Maid Park. Houston starting pitcher Kihachi Okuhara threw 9.0 innings of 3-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Astros now lead the series 1-0.

Okuhara delivered a quality start for Houston. The 6-foot-4 left-hander allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 9 innings of work.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Angels manager Matt Moore said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim.
