Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Ryan Knee, the Detroit Tigers got a road win against the Houston Astros, 8-1, in Game 2 of the Championship Series. Knee went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Tigers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Knee had a key at-bat in the top of the third to put Detroit in front, 4-1. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double off Houston pitcher Luis Rodas.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Chris Gasparro said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Comerica Park in Detroit.
