Athletics Move on to Championship Series
Carlos Marriott has led his Oakland Athletics to a Division Series victory.

Oakland's second baseman was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 3-1 and eliminating the Toronto Blue Jays.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."

The club advanced to the Championship Series with a 7-2 triumph at Rogers Centre in the deciding game.

Marriott was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .429 average, as well as 0 home runs and 4 RBI.

The Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
