Raucous Busch Stadium Crowd Propels Cardinals to 7-3 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The St. Louis Cardinals and the San Diego Padres will take the Division Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Cardinals beat the Padres, 7-3, at Busch Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. St. Louis right-hander Chris Fama had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Cardinals first baseman Phil Lewis hit a fastball from Mel Parra for a 2-run home run. Just like that, St. Louis was up, 2-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Lewis.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday at The Pound at Seaport Village in San Diego.
