Blue Jays Advance to World Series
The sweet swing of Dennis Desper has led his team through the Championship Series.

The Toronto Blue Jays star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Chicago White Sox to advance to the World Series.

The Blue Jays won the final game at U.S. Cellular Field by a score of 7-1 and the series 4-3.

"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Desper. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."

For the series, Desper hit .357 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
