Cubs Cruise to World Series with Sweep
The Chicago Cubs have swept the Colorado Rockies and are on to the World Series. Chicago won 7-5 today at Wrigley Field to clinch the Championship Series.

"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Chicago shortstop Miguel Gerena, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."

Gerena won the award with a .462 batting average and a .533 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
