Minnesota Draws First Blood in World Series With 6-2 Win
The Minnesota Twins started the World Series in style, winning on the road against the San Diego Padres at The Pound at Seaport Village by a score of 6-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Twins right-hander Miguel Toscano threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs.

The Twins benefited from a costly error in the top of the third. With Jesse Fales at bat and Minnesota leading 1-0, the San Diego miscue allowed Minnesota to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Fales told the Minnesota Today.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Pound at Seaport Village in San Diego.
