The Milwaukee Brewers had to overcome a fine performance from Pittsburgh pitcher Mike Rutherford to grab a 3-2 win at PNC Park. Rutherford allowed 2 runs over 5.2 innings. Milwaukee, at 35-34, sits in 4th place in the National League Central Division.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Alex Cruz to capture the win. The first baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm proud to wear a Milwaukee jersey," Cruz told the Milwaukee Herald. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
